In a job market like the one we are in now, having this problem might not seem like much of a problem. However, if you are presented with the opportunity to choose between two great jobs, choosing one over the other is probably much better than choosing none. If you’re stuck at a fork in the road, we have some tips for you to figure out which way to go.

The first thing you should do is get as much information as you can on both jobs. Read between the lines and don’t be afraid to ask your recruiters and potential employers if you are unclear on a certain aspect of the job. The second and most obvious factor to consider is which job offer would pay you more. Do not only consider salary when thinking of payment; think of employee benefits (if you intend to take advantage of them) and if you’ll have the chance to earn bonuses and raises in the future. Next, you will want to consider non-financial factors, like the commute to the jobs, the opportunity to work from home, the frequency of performance reviews, and the possibility of advancing throughout the company. All of these factors are sure to give one job some kind of advantage over the other.

In the chance that the jobs still seem equal even after you review all possible factors, try simply going with your gut. You know yourself best, and if one choice just seems like the right one, it likely will be the right one.
